Me, Myself and Miss Gibbs

The evening of 25 June witnessed a very interesting event taking place at the Highland Archive Centre. Actress Francesca Millican-Slater delivered a fascinating monologue entitled "Me, Myself and Miss Gibbs" describing her venture in to the field of family history research.
Many years ago Francesca found a postcard sent to a Miss Gibbs. The message on the postcard simply said "Take care tomorrow". Francesca became fascinated by the postcard and set out to discover the identity of Miss Gibbs and the reason for the need to take care.
Over forty people attended the performance, which was concluded with a trip around the Family History Centre and Archive Searchroom at the Highland Archive & Registration Centre.
A most interesting evening was had by all. The presentation of Francesca demonstrated to the audience the fascination which can be exerted by the study of family history.
